THEY LEFT GOOGLE AND RAISED $500 MILLION

Google has recently been portrayed as idiots in the media — thanks to us 🤷‍♂️

But Google had an Ace up its sleeve, up until last March.

In March 2022, AI and Quantum computing startup SandboxAQ was spun out of Google’s parent company (Alphabet). And they just announced a $500 million funding round.

SandboxAQ combines Artificial Intelligence with Quantum computing (hence the name: AQ) for commercial applications.

Quantum computers are so powerful and capable that they can crack the measly cryptography algorithms that we currently use. AKA: A huge security threat.

SandboxAQ found success in cybersecurity with its algorithms that are resistant to quantum computer attacks.

More than 15 enterprise and government customers are using SandboxAQ and as AI and Quantum computing get more powerful, we can expect them to gain many new customers.

For reference, in 2022 there were $770 million in venture investments in quantum computing. SandboxAQ’s $500 million round is 54% of the total from 2022. That’s one company with a lot of potential!

15,000 NESTLE EMPLOYEES ARE RUN BY AI

Nestle isn’t the first company that comes to mind when we think “AI first approach”. But the 15,000 marketing employees across 2,000 brands in 200 countries are all using AI religiously.

Global Chief Marketing Officer of Nestle, Aude Gandon, started working with CreativeX to create an AI system that their marketing teams could use to rank ads.

The platform takes in an ad creative and generates a “Creative Quality Score” and tells the marketer the best platform for this ad (YouTube, Facebook, etc.)

Every Nestle ad is run through this AI before it becomes published. It also creates a report of what the ad does right and wrong. Sounds like performance reviews for marketing employees just got a lot easier.

“According to my AI generated report here, you’re an underperformer, Sally. We’re gonna have to feed you to the AI.”
